I’m enthusiastically proud to have the support of organized labor in my reelection campaign for common council. Our city is a vibrant place to live and work due to being a strong union focused community. Local jobs with competitive compensation are key to building a community where we can all live, work, play, and participate together.
On Saturday, September 16th, I joined members of the Midstate Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO as we went door-to-door around the 1st ward to meet voters and organized labor members to learn about them and share my story.

After careful consideration and extensive deliberation, the Midstate CLC has selected Cynthia Brock, Ward 1, Ithaca City Council who aligns closely with these goals.
These candidates have committed to advocating for fair wages, safe working conditions, access to quality healthcare, and protecting the rights of workers to organize and bargain collectively in the City of Ithaca. They have demonstrated an understanding of the challenges faced by the labor community and have shown a genuine willingness to work collaboratively to address those challenges.
The Midstate CLC believes that the endorsed candidates possess the vision, integrity, and leadership necessary to effect meaningful change and uplift the working families in our community.
